AGE 2024 and GTA’s 30th Anniversary Milestone
Thank you to everyone who attended the Australasian Gaming Expo (AGE) and continue to make it a success.
The first AGE was held in 1990 and has grown to be one of the world’s largest gaming and hospitality trade shows thanks to your support.
More than 7,600 people attended the 2024 Expo that brought together manufacturers, service providers, venue operators, players plus government and regulators to understand the current market, trends and challenges.
‘It is the unique mix of manufacturers, service providers, venue operators, players plus government and regulators in the one spot that is driving the growth of the AGE” Gaming Technologies Association CEO, Jinesh Patel said.
Now in its 35th year, more than 200 exhibitors showcased the latest technology, to food and beverage suppliers, financial services, retail goods and construction including furniture, flooring and cabinetry.
“The Australasian Gaming Expo (AGE) continues to go from strength to strength in terms of visitor numbers and the number of exhibitors” Mr Patel said.
“I would like to thank all the Victorians who spoke at numerous seminars that covered international gaming developments, new local products and technology, an update on the national economy, current regulatory requirements and the development of the QCOM 3 protocol.”
Thursday provided the opportunity to celebrate female leaders and their achievements, plus women who are driving industry change and an industry led initiative Building Safer Communities – An Industry Response to Domestic Violence.
The event also allowed the Gaming Technologies Association (GTA) to mark its 30th anniversary to now be the peak representative body for Australia’s gaming machine manufacturers and technology suppliers.
Since 1994, the GTA has worked with governments to ensure a vibrant, responsible and sustainable gaming entertainment industry for players and customers.
During that time, GTA has engaged with venues and hospitality suppliers who support hundreds of thousands of jobs.
The Association provides policy leadership and gaming industry advocacy to ensure the right balance can be struck with governments through effective policies and regulation.
“To mark the momentous milestone of 30 years as an Association, the GTA is adopting a new brand and new website to reflect its maturity and commitment to ensure a fair balance between governments, suppliers, venues and ultimately players” Mr Patel said.
“GTA is supporting responsible gaming, harm mitigation and anti-money laundering efforts across all jurisdictions.
The association will continue to support greater innovation as technology improves player experiences, harm mitigation measures including self-exclusion and how players manage their gaming spend”.
